River City Music publishes Christian worship songs that extend our rich heritage of congregational, four-part singing into the contemporary worship experience.
Our songs are available in print and digital format and can be legally copied and projected as described in Permissions To Use Songs.
Our songs emphasize:
– Arrangements that can be sung easily with voices-only
– Timeless truths, thoughtful lyrics
– A variety of modern and traditional styles
– Guitar-friendly keys and notated chords for guitar/keyboard
– Mainly amateur songwriters
WHO WE ARE
River City Music is owned and managed by Brian Craig, Geoff Fawcett and Sherwin Mackintosh.
J. BRIAN CRAIG
Brian Craig is a worship leader, teacher, and prolific worship songwriter. In addition to contributing several popular songs to the Songs of the Kingdom hymnal, including “Be With Me Lord”, “I Need Your Love” and “Great Among The Nations”, Brian regularly teaches worship at a church level and organizes large worship conferences for the International Churches of Christ. Brian has a background in music theory and production from University of Colorado and Cal State University and has released five independently-produced CDs of his music. He lives with his wife and three children in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, where he serves as a worship and ministry leader in the Los Angeles International Church of Christ.
Geoff Fawcett is a worship leader and songwriter with an aptitude for computer technology and business management. As Project Manager for the Songs of the Kingdom hymnal, he managed the publication’s legal, financial and logistical aspects and contributed the songs “Hallelujah”, “Be Strong Take Heart” and “O Holy God”. He has strong passion for publishing new worship songs written by amateur believer-songwriters and has been a driving force behind forming River City Music in order to produce a songbook supplement and online resource. Geoff grew up in a musical family, played bassoon, loves classical and rock music, knows enough theory to be dangerous, and has a passion for meaningful lyrics. He lives int he Seattle area with his wife and two children, where he is employed by a large software company.
Sherwin Mackintosh is a worship leader, teacher, songwriter, and church elder. In addition to helping pioneer the worship culture of the International Churches of Christ, he, along with his writing partner, Steve Johnson, wrote Upside Down, a musical production of the book of Acts. He served as Senior Music editor of the Songs of the Kingdom hymnal and contributed to several songs including “I Hear God Singing To Me” and “Men Who Dream”. Sherwin has played piano on Broadway and Carnegie Hall, conducted choirs performing for the President, and produced full-scale productions of commercial musicals. He and his wife, Debbie have traveled around the world as speakers and workshop leaders. He currently serves as the Director of the P.K. Yonge Performing Art Center at the University of Florida in Gainesville and is a proud father and grandfather.
